Fun in the Park

Each Fall, the Town of Boone’s Water Conservation Program Coordinator, Recycling Coordinator and Adopt-A-Street Coordinator work together to host the annual Fun in the Park event. This event is part of the Town of Boone’s ongoing commitment to water conservation, recycling and a litter-free community and is held at the Boone Jaycees Park from 10am until 2pm. The event is an educational outreach opportunity that encourages children and their families to be good stewards of our community by conserving water, recycling and keeping our community litter free.

Each family has the opportunity to learn about being a good steward of our community through informational tables and various give away items. The event features three giant bounce houses and slides, the Children’s Council’s “Myrtle the Turtle”, free reusable grocery totes, temporary tattoos, face painting, balloons, paint sheets, stickers and a free t-shirt or water bottle for the first 50 children.
